Phase 3 of Castle Irwell Development Approved

Working on behalf of Salboy, EKPS is delighted to have secured Reserved Matters consent for the third and final phase of housing development at Castle Irwell in Salford.

The proposals include 104 new houses, along with associated landscaping to integrate this phase of development with the earlier phases of development, which include a large area of public open space at the heart of the site.

The scheme has been designed by Calderpeel Architects.

The site was more recently occupied by the University of Salford’s Castle Irwell student village, which closed in 2015.  EKPS successfully obtained outline planning permission for the site on behalf of the University of Salford in 2018.
