Cornwall Council grants permission for Salboy’s Narrowcliff development

Planning permission has been granted by Cornwall Council for Salboy’s proposals involving the redevelopment of land off Narrowcliff in Newquay.

The scheme, designed by Studio Power, involves the redevelopment of a site located across the road from Tolcarne Beach, and will deliver 140 new dwellings within three distinct buildings varying in height.

Crucially the scheme also includes 49 on-site affordable homes (35%) and financial contributions will be made towards education infrastructure; improvements to the Barrowfields open space; additional health services; and, mitigation to protect the Penhale Dunes Special Area of Conservation.

The scheme also includes a public realm design that is carefully integrated with the new buildings as well as the existing public realm and adjacent green spaces.

Euan Kellie Property Solutions were responsible for co-ordinating the planning application, including Environmental Impact Assessment.
