New PBSA development given unanimous approval by Nottingham City Council

Acting on behalf of our client, Maven Capital Partners, EKPS is delighted to have secured unanimous approval from Nottingham City Council’s Planning Committee for a new purpose-built student residential development in Nottingham City Centre.

The scheme comprises 104 student rooms and will involve the redevelopment of what is generally considered to be one of Nottingham’s ugliest buildings at 191-195 Lower Parliament Street (opposite the Victoria Centre) to regenerate and bring new activity to the building, as well as the streets around it.

EKPS has been advising on the scheme since Spring 2021, which has included undertaking formal pre-application engagement with Nottingham City Council (NCC) Planner and Economic Development Officers.

Following on from this, a planning application was submitted in July 2022, and since this time EKPS has worked closely with NCC Planning Officers and Maven’s appointed design team to achieve a successful outcome.
